JIFRESSE’s Dr. Florian M. Schwandner, Project Scientist IV, was just elected Section President for Solid Earth Sciences, one of 8 thematic sections of AOGS (Asia Oceania Geosciences Society), the third largest international comprehensive professional geosciences society after AGU and EGU. The section members elected post is for two years 2020-2021, and includes being president-elect and vice president in the preceding year, vice-president in the succeeding year to the presidency, and AOGS Executive Committee member. This tremendous honor has also been cited in NASA HQ news.
