We are delighted to announce the 2023 recipients of the JIFRESSE Outstanding Research Award and the JIFRESSE Outstanding Leadership/Service Award.

Dr. Yingdi Luo is the inaugural recipient of the JIFRESSE Outstanding Research Award, for his important contribution to understand the physical process of slow earthquake through combined modeling and interdisciplinary observation approaches and novel Machine Learning algorithms to integrate InSar, GNSS and weather model for InSAR noise reduction.

Dr. Yizhou Zhuang is the inaugural recipient of the JIFRESSE Outstanding Leadership/Service Award, for his exceptional service as a member of the 2022 JIFRESSE Summer Internship Program (JSIP) Organization Committee.

We will present the certificates of these awards to Dr. Yingdi Luo and Yizhou Zhuang at the JIFRESSE/DataX Network Event during 2-3pm on May 19th, 2023 at JIFRESSE Conference Room (4242 Young Hall, UCLA).  The $1,000 monetary fund for each award will be provided to the recipients electronically.
