Professor V. Ramanathan of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego, gave a special Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Seminar on April 29, 2011 entitled "Limiting Global Warming Below Dangerous Levels: Practical Approaches and Major Issues." He also discussed with Director Liou the issue of climatic impacts of black carbon in the atmosphere.
