A number of papers have recently been published by JIFRESSE researchers, graduate students and Director Liou. Graduate student Calvin Liang published a paper entitled “Record of tropical interannual variability of temperature and water vapor from a combined AIRS-MLS data set” (J. Geophys. Res., 2011, PDF). Researcher Yu Gu published 2 papers, “Direct climate effect of black carbon in China and its impact on dust storms” (J. Geophys. Res., 2010, PDF) and “Cirrus cloud simulations using WRF with improved radiation parameterization and increased vertical resolution” (J. Geophys. Res., 2011, PDF). Visiting researchers Jonathan Jiang and Hui Su published a paper entitled “Influence of convection and aerosol pollution on ice cloud particle effective radius” (J. Atmos. Chem. Phys., 2011, PDF). Research Associate W.L. Lee published a paper, "Parameterization of solar fluxes over mountain surfaces for application to climate model" (J. Geophys. Res., 2011, PDF). Director Kuo-Nan Liou also recently published a paper, entitled “Light absorption and scattering by aggregates: Application to black carbon and snow grains” (J. Quant. Spectrosc. Radiat. Transfer, 2011, PDF).
